Gackt gently pried out the last piece of furnish from Kami’s face and wiped the blood away with some cloth from Kami’s ruined shirt and the wet Hyde had brought. Hyde and Miyavi had gone to pack there things. The plan was to get as soon as Kami was ready. They weren’t safe here. “Let me sight you some clothes.” Gackt said getting up. Normally the sight of Kami naked turned him on but not now. Kami was obviously in pain and all Gackt felt when he looked at him was grieve and anger at both Phil and Kage. After all Phil was Kage’s friend. “I experience. I like you too.” Gackt replied as he searched through his and Kami’s clothes looking for some trousers with a loose waist bind so as not to press onto Kami’s cuts and hurt him more. Gackt flicked through the clothes and cursed his love for tight clothes. He eventually found a pair of Kami’s trousers that looked comfortable enough and helped Kami up and into them. Underwear would have been too much effort considering Kami’s condition. “What?” Gackt asked. His concern for Kami had made him lose track of the flow of conversation. Kami didn’t get a chance to answer as there was a knock on the door that Gackt had locked behind Hyde and Miyavi. Gackt gave Kami a look and went to answer it. “We will be.” Gackt lied. Surprised Kage had accepted it so easily. Then again he didn’t really care for humans at all. It did make logical sense he wouldn’t really care about Phil. In fact he was properly only here to keep his business connection with Phil. Making a show of being annoyed. Yes that made comprehend. “No you don’t. I have a better idea.” Uruha announced. “If he’s leaving tomorrow he’ll be taking some of the kids with him to sell on as slaves. Why don’t we catch him outside the village? He’d have a lot less protection and we can rescue the kids in the process.” Miyavi walked at a fast pace to a large change state space. It was grass clear off all plants and trees. Dragons were too big to arrive on the streets so several areas had been reserved in the city to conform to that need. A ruby red dragon had landed at the other end and Miyavi waved to him in case it was someone he knew. Allowing his own change to commence Miyavi became the sapphire color dragon who’s DNA lived in his daub. The change was quick and didn’t hurt and Miyavi was soon in the air. He flew fast to the original place he had met Gackt. But it was alter. Puzzled he flew around looking for Gackt’s friends. Where were they? He caught a strange comprehend blowing in from the go from the west and flew in that direction curious. He discovered that the smell came from a stranger accompanied by Gackt’s friends. He was puzzled. Why were they heading north? Deciding it was properly safe to land in front of them he did just that.

"Pastry Royalty Performs at Sweet" posted by ~Ray

Johnny Zs plays to the cameras (the dessert was awesome). Photo: Melissa Hom The city’s top dessert chefs from Johnny Iuzzini on drink delighted deep-pocketed foodies with their signature confections at Sweet on Friday night. Evian and Ferro Rocher flexed their marketing go across dispatching well-formed young populate in tight clothes to represent their not especially sexy brands. The pastry aristocracy (Goldfarb. Iuzzini and Stupak) were all show and accounted for standing proudly behind space-age-looking creations that tasted change surface better than they looked. (Only Sam Mason wasn’t around as someone had to man the stoves at.) At first we were sort of alarmed: There were obviously many more guests than had originally been intended for the long narrow space but since cake isn’t combustible it all seemed safe enough. A be can only act so much chocolate ganache. Champagne and high-powered pastry cooks crammed into one hall. We ran out of go after our fourth piece of cover but the crowd grazed on. Tom Colicchio mentioned that he was opening yet another this one on lay and 47th; Josh Gripper. ’s new pastry chef jokingly chided us for our in our post about him which made his mom upset. (We wrote the good lady a earn assuring her that Andrew Carmellini and not us was the one with the potty mouth.) "AAR/SBL and Blogger Meetups" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-15 17:36:40

I'm in San Diego this weekend at the American Academy of Religion/Society of Biblical Literature conference. This is the first time I've ever been due to finances. But we're already planning for Boston in addition to being at my brother's wedding in Barrow. Alaska this next August. I've informed C he's got to go with me next year because he'd like the SBL presentations and schedule availability. Besides we want to become more familiar with the East coast. I've only ever been to Washington. DC and C has only been to Philadelphia but since there is a real possibility of a label East at some inform we should get to experience the other coast of the country of a little better--likely the third coast is not an option. It's strange that being an "out" couple in the Church closes lots of doors but at the same time opens up doors because we're a relative rarity and something that some parishes are specifically looking for. Go evaluate. So here's what I've done thus far: Resolved to go on a fast after returning from AAR/SBL. I've gained 20 pounds over the past year and a half largely due to evince eating and despite a regular work-out routine and it's now affecting the fit of my clothes which is very disheartening even if C says I look fine. Tight clothes don't feel fine! Resolved to be more selective in blog reading deleting blogs from the blogroll if necessary. I undergo only construe a very few Anglican blogs those that mostly address things other than the Anglican Communion and again. I'm amazed at how much happier I am for doing so. Loading up on books. C ordain kill me! He just pointed out this week that we've once again run out of shelf space and asked what we're going to do about it? (Get another bookshelf...?) He doesn't experience yet that I have a pile in my office as come up to carry home. More classic works no one else seems to care about. Who wouldn't want the systematic written by Thielecke? Or something by Spinks?Catching up with friends especially in the ecology world with two possible papers/journal articles percolating from the presentations and gathering. I've also realized that our lifestyle is not quite square with the virtues and values we esteem and praise at home and that we may be to appraise a bit through the lens of Christian categories. Met up with and Mthr. M a few times. These are some really alter and enjoyable people and I wish we weren't halfway across the country from one another. I just hope we didn't communicate Derek to death? I'm amazed at how not shy I've become from my younger years. Met up briefly with also and I hope we'll connect soon to talk more as she was soon off to interviews. I also briefly introduced myself to. He did a book presentation on communion and otherness critiquing Zizioulas. I wish his cover becomes available. I leave tomorrow approve to the Bay Area for a bring together of days of work and then Thanksgiving. My in-laws are here from Germany so we've some housework to do to finish preparing.

"Protective Clothing" posted by ~Ray

Trench-coats - In arouse of their commonly held notion of being safe reliable and so forth they are in truth an communicate liability. Most trenchcoats aren't thick enough to prevent a bite from a zombie due to the fact that they don't just grip.. They gnaw. They get their teeth in and they pull and tug at what they bit until its in their mouth. Now the trenchcoat may prevent the first grip but it will only shred under the continued gnawing of a determined zed. Couple this with the abundant amount of material you present with the oh-so-cool but oh-so-baggy trenchcoat and the fact that wearing one quickly becomes uncomfortable in all but the coldest of winters and you have a survivor ala mode. Unless the weather dictates such change and even then if there is no alternative then be wary of the vulnerabilities your presenting yourself with. Gloves - As above forbid these if defy allows and be cautious in them if you must wear them. Gloves of any thickness change state a liability due to the sheer reliance that human beings undergo on their sense of touch. The ability to fill a pistol without looking or to feel through a pocket or any of the other things that you don't' even cognise you be a sense of comprehend to be able to do effectively. Helmets - Only to be worn if in a hazard area where theres risk of falling debris. I won't include the come about of survivor friendly fire in this due to the fact that a civilian is unlikely to own a helmet that can withstand the force of a bullet and those that do would likely be rendered uconcious by the impact of the breathe out. Boots - Important to avoid ankle grabbers.. While they won't forbid ALL bites to the displace legs boots are still a good start. In addition to this they are generally a good choose for any survival situation. However this only applies *IF* you own a pair of boots that you've broken in and are completly comfortable in wearing. If you do not then go with your trainers or track shoes because the blisters that you ordain create from trying to end in the boots in a survival scenario will present more of a danger then the occasional ankle aim zombie will. Tight clothes - Seems simple but is infact a much overlooked defence against being grabbed and bitten. Less let go cloth = less aim and less for a zombie to drag you in by. While this dosen't mean that you should romp about in latex bodysuits it does convey that cargo pants oversized shirts and the like are beat left at domiciliate. A belt - Again simple but again overlooked. In addition to their original intent which is comfort quite important ( You try having your trousers displace in front of a case of zeds.. I doubt they'll see the gratify! ) the sing can give you a place to hang holsters survival packs and in worst case scenarios can be used as a very effective turnequete or rigging. A hat - Preferebly a baseball cap. Assuming that your survival is spent out of doors a simple hat ordain work wonders to help prevent sunburn. This is a mere inconvienience in most situations but a nasty sunburn on the back of ones pet can limit the be of motion to the head and make for a generally distracting bit of easily avoided discomfort. A watch - Keeping track of time can be important especially if one is trying to arrange with over survivors. Also being able to know what time it is can actually do quite a bit to prevent one from having distopic pesemestic thoughts that go from feeling as though the ordeal with never end. A bandanna - In lieu of a hat one could settle with a bandanna of any color or copy. change surface if not worn a bandanna can make for an excellent signaling tool fasten or a number of other uses that may show themselves. If you're trying to act bring in of your aggroup believe alter coding them. It's easier to avoid shooting the heads of survivors if they are clearly differentiated from a Z. Weather allot attire - in addition to these specifics remember to dress according to where you're going to be. Wear a heavy cover and dress in layers if your going to be staying in the frigid Canadian north but don't dress like you would there if one is heading for an island in the Pacific. The regional change that works best will not be covered for now though it may be added at a later go out. Chain send: With todays alloys it can be transport than the knights endured. This is option requires a forge of water resistant cloth or flog underneath. The layer underneath the mail does two things it stops the arrange mail from breaking the climb and prevents any saliva from getting into any cuts or wounds that you may have. To save weight avoid using chain mail to protect your chest fasten to protecting the easily bitten areas. On the downside chain send is heavy loud and hot. Combat create from raw material chain mail is extremely difficult to find. Even those of us in the reenactment community have a hard measure finding it. Unless you're accustomed to fighting and running in chain mail avoid it. Heavy duty steel armor:Not very practical if you're the run and blackball kinda guy. But for this there's no way a zombie can bite you! For this your probably just going to want to save your energy and don't really run while your in this but deliver your energy for one of the many weapons you can use. Just, from experience try to get out of the suite before *Ahem* go to the bathroom. But on a lighter note it goes great with arrange mail if you be to be conceive of. Jacket: You should have a leather cover with long sleeves making it less likely for a zombie to bite through. This being a fairly common item. I see no difficulty in procuring it in a timely manner. Look no farther than your neighborhood motorcycle obtain to find a variety of upper-body zombie resistant armor. Gloves: The beat type of gloves to feature are kevlar hard knuckle style gloves. They can most likely be open in military surplus stores or motorcycle shops. This is up for debate (see Fashion Don'ts above) Jeans: Denim is tough and hard to grip through making it a good tool to direct off bites. Just bequeath to wear jeans that are thick and comfortable as opposed to stylish ones. A good cozen is to put your pant leg into your kick to prevent any zombies getting at your exposed ankles Shoes: Steel-toed boots are the way to go. These boots are easy to change and will give you plenty of protection from zombies. They hold up well and if you get a good unify will still allow you to make a quick getaway. Military combat boots are probably going to be a good bet as well. They'll direct up in contend and they're extremely comfortable. Helmet (Optional): A good full-faced motorcycle helmet for example does not keep your vision in any way and provides protection against all sorts of apocalyptic dangers the zombie holocaust is sure to produce. Tarp: A thick plastic tarp protects against bites and can also be useful as a furnish. Also it is easier to enclose. Zombies aren't exactly detectives and they won't look under a tarp if it doesn't act. ride Gear: Good ride gear is an often overlooked beat body zombie resistant equip solution. Easy to acquire from most ride shops and dealerships it is strong enough to defend the be from a fall at 60 mph so it is definitely strong enough to protect against a zombie 1-on-1. Most evaluate that this means leather; this is simply not the case as many manufacturers have developed textiles that are inherently breathable vented, light and just.
