By Joe StraussST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH12/07/2007NASHVILLE. Tenn. — Overpriced and hard to sight. The description applied to most of the shops rooms and restaurants inside the sprawling Opryland Hotel. For the Cardinals it also described their sign read of the free-agent merchandise and a weeklong pursuit of a trading partner. Four days in Nashville netted the Cardinals only Cleveland Indians outfield look Brian Barton in Thursday's Rule 5 compose. Barton immediately inherited the spot on the 40-man roster created by the club's Wednesday night channel of outfielder So Taguchi. Mods: I could'nt find where this had been posted elsewhere or if it's earned it's own go so if it needs to be locked down for whatever cerebrate I'll understand. Thanks :]_________________
This must undergo been an easy story for Strauss to create verbally..... all he had to do was cut and attach from the past 3 offseasons and just change a few names and locations._________________"Who is Karim Garcia?"Tim Mcarver on attach Buehrle's recent struggles"Talkin to Ed Farmer the announcer for the Chicago color Sox saying that Mark Buerhle has been high his recent measure five starts"
While we didn't go out of Winter Meetings with Miguel Cabrera or Johan Santana tucked neatly away under our arms. I'm not YET ready to believe that we already know what the '08 lineup is going to look like. The Winter Meetings marked the official go away of offseason willings and dealings. We still undergo a desire row to hoe. Point being: I'm going to direct out hope that we'll still find a big carrot buried deep down in there for a LITTLE while longer. There's plenty of time to make something come about guys and if -- in the end nothing changes you're always free to show your displeasure to Redbird ownership/management at the book office. Or should I say you can show your disapproval anywhere BUT the ticket line._________________
