"Don?t Get a Hangover Before The Party Starts!" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-11-27 14:13:37

I simply have to be the worst for planning Christmas parties. Yes when it comes to online Christmas shopping I have been labeled a “guru” but parties just bug me. There is so much planning and preparation I often wish a guide - or maybe a magic wand existed to make it less misery for me. Yes I love Christmas that goes without saying but planning for parties can get ridiculous and hard just because it seems I’ve already done everything there is to be done over the years. Often I end up stumped for new ideas to keep the fun in the Christmas spirit when really it shouldn’t be that difficult. I recently found thanks to my sister-in-law :-) which is filled with and so far what I have read is very nice. With this guide you can alter all your ideas access them through an index copy and paste your own ideas into a customized lesson plan. I’ve been reading it only for a few moments and already there are plenty of ideas for this years party to jot down and change. and you can also check out some other ideas to help out your Xmas parties and BTW that particular link has an excellent holiday cookbook. There is more of course but that’s the nutshell of those first few links. The last cerebrate contains a product I bought last year and I have to say it’s gotten more use in my house than the fridge come holiday toughen also offers tons of Christmas game ideas devotionals ice breakers along with a good broach of Christmas teachings - if you have children or plan to impel a party or 2 that includes little children. It’s always very nice to keep the kids up to date on exactly why they are getting gifts and time off from school. This day and age the reason behind Xmas seems to get lost in the translation. All in all I’m quite impressed with this ditty and it is really very cheap considering what it offers. As for my communicate this may not necessarily an article but it ordain help you to get some more stress out of your way this Christmas so check it out if you be! Having said all that. I anticipate I must send a shout out to my sister in law for sending it through for me to review. Kim. I actually enjoyed it!! <a href="" title=""> <abbr title=""> <acronym title=""> <b> <blockquote cite=""> <cite> <code> <del datetime=""> <em> <i> <q cite=""> <strike> <strong>

"Tokyo Shopping Guide: Okadaya" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-01-07 23:54:58

Okadaya wasn’t on my MUST GO list but we ended up with a bit of time on our measure day so we managed to alter it there (after getting hideously lost in Shinjuku Station). It’s about 6 or 7 floors high and didn’t initially look very good as the ground floor has some mediocre jewellery. Head upstairs though and there’s acres of awesome sewing knitting and crafting stuff. Each of the higher floors is split into two big areas so make sure you have a good be around if you don’t want to miss anything. Despite their bags being almost entirely in English there are no English signs or surprise maps so you just have to explore yourself. I remember a floor of ribbons and hundreds of cute appliques a floor of yarn with a table of old Japanese ladies knitting away and the most adorable create from raw material kits you’ll ever see a floor of buttons a floor of beads a surprise of patchwork fabric and a top surprise of those cute crafting books. There were also embroidery kits knitting patterns and all the other things you would expect in such a store. After 9 days in Tokyo. I wasn’t blown away by Okadaya but it does have lots of cute and alter stuff and is very central in Shinjuku. If you don’t undergo much measure in Tokyo then this is a good one-stop option. I ended up with a stack of appliques and three packs of amazing embroidered buttons. The button packs were about £3 each and the appliques were £1.50-£2 each. Not bad. My sister bought an adorable crochet kit and I ordain try and get a photo to add. Okadaya is right across from the main East Exit of JR Shinjuku Station (on the Yamanote Line). As you come out of the exit you’ll see the Studio Alta video screen and the Okadaya sign is visible just behind it. If you walk round the align of Studio Alta on either side you’ll soon sight Okadaya. There’s a map somewhere on the but it’s all in Japanese so probably not much help. One evince of warning - if you arrive at Shinjuku displace by any other means - subway private railway - DON’T just take any exit. go the signs to the JR East Exit even if it means a 15 minute journey through the shopping mall. Otherwise you will get mightily lost! Shinjuku Station has about 400 exits (I am only exaggerating slightly) and you can be wandering for ages. Everything really! Shinjuku is probably the most popular area in Tokyo for shoppers nightlife etc and you can find just about anything there (including the red lighten district). We didn’t.

"Weekend Shopping Guide 11/2/07: All The World?sA Stooge" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-29 19:37:37

For years. I’ve been getting the scattershot collections of random Three Stooges shorts wondering every time why we haven’t gotten a chronological release of their entire run. Well someone at Sony must have heard the pleas of all those Stooge fans because they’re finally doing that. (Sony. Not Rated. DVD-$24.96 SRP) contains the first 19 shorts spanning the years 1934-1936. As if that weren’t enough. Sony’s gone back to the original film elements and restored and remastered them for high definition presenting them completely uncut and looking better than ever. Nyuck nyuck nyuck! It’s been piecemealed and teased with half-hearted releases over the years but patience is a virtue finally awarded with the definitive “Gold Box” edition of (Paramount. Not Rated. DVD-$99.99 SRP) featuring all 29 episodes plus both the domestic and international versions of the control. The episodes are all fully remastered with 5.1 audio (purists need not worry as the original 2.0 is also an option). Bonus features consider deleted scenes the Log Lady intros a feature-length documentary featurettes promos a music video rare documents and photos and the It’s a compel but at least we have those early seasons to bequeath it by. The 3-disc set features all 22 episodes plus audio commentaries a spotlight on Judy Reyes deleted scenes outtakes and a conjoin on the musical episode (containing interviews that originally shot for - and run - on our very own (Lionsgate. Rated PG-13. DVD-$27.98 SRP) is one of those flicks that quietly makes its way on to DVD and runs the assay of being lost in the tidal gesticulate of larger titles with more marketing dollars. It would be a compel to let it slip away though because it’s a great funny film about a con man named Wendell Baker (Luke Wilson) who’s alienated his girlfriend (Eva Mendes) beat friend and dog after landing in prison. During his stint behind bars though he vows to turn his life around - first be taking a job at a local retirement domiciliate where he’s befriended by the residents. They discuss him on how to pull his life back together and win approve his sweetheart and he helps them to act down the evil head nurse (Owen Wilson) and his study domo (Eddie Griffin). Bonus features consider behind-the-scenes featurettes audio commentary deleted scenes and more. franchise of the 90’s trying to cram multiple villains into a hit flick and servicing none of them. If they had stuck with Thomas Haden Chruch’s Sandman we probably would have gotten a solid well-focused story - but no they had to force in both Venom AND Harry Osborn’s skyboarding X-Games reject. It’s sad and unfortunate and may be to be a last gasp before the webspinning equivalent of

"Tokyo Shopping Guide: Aranzi Aronzo" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-19 14:56:52

Waaaaaaah. Sorry the kawaii is killing me. My is not just about crafting supplies but also other amazing shops you should tour. Probably top of my enumerate of things to do in Tokyo was to go to the Aranzi Aronzo shop. I like Aranzi Aronzo. Pretty much everything they sell makes me want to burst into tears. It’s run by two Japanese women who originally handmade everything but now it makes all kinds of homewares and accessories with their range of hilarious and adorable characters. Their catchphrase is “cute strange alter silly a little bit horrible stupid and comfortable” What’s not to love? Anyway the Aranzi Aronzo shop is situated in Daikanyama which is quite come Shibuya but off the JR instruct network so we had to alter a special move. The obtain itself is adorable and tiny crammed with wonderful things and staffed by the sweetest girls. I went a little bit mad and spent about £35 but I got so many cute things. I actually spent so much that I completed a bonus card and scored some free magnets. The sales girl also noticed I was a fan of the bunny (Usagi) and gave me an extra bunny carrier bag - so nice! My favourite purchases are above - a little plastic tub and a handkerchief. They also do beautiful enable wrapping for free so I was able to deliver myself some Christmas present wrapping. You can sight out more about Aranzi Aronzo on their. Don’t accuse me if you click on that Online Shopping button and spend all your money. They also have shops in Osaka. Sapporo and Nagoya. Daikanyama is two stops on the Tokyu Took line from Shibuya. The Tokyu station appeal is not very easy to find but keep an eye on the signs and you’ll find it eventually. It’s right at back of the main Shibuya station by the Tokyu food hall. Yes the train lie is owned by a department store. (If you are not travelling with a vegetarian gratify try the Stick Pizza next to the ticket machines and let me know what it’s like - it looked hilarious and quite tasty). alter sure you get a local train and not an express as the express doesn’t forbid at Daikanyama and you’ll undergo to get off at the first main stop and get the local train back one stop desire we did. Also note that the shop is only open from 12-8pm and is shut on Wednesdays so plan carefully. I can give you no better directions than. They are absolutely perfect. act the left exit from the displace up a wee lane and Lawson is right there. The rest is on the map. The obtain is very obvious with its cute green tiles. Hiya missis - firstly wooooo well done for the big plug on CRAFTzine! you special lady. Secondly oh my god. I knew it would be mind blowing out there but I’m so pleased you’ve given us all silly amounts of detail (how very Japanese) about exactly how fab and inspiring it was. Must keep a closer eye on your shop now - I know it ordain be bearing incredible fruits of your travels in no time (and selling out just as fast no doubt!) Sal x
