23-year-old Hooters waitress Kayla Ebbert was asked to cover upwith a blanket if she wanted to remain aboard arecent pip. Ebbert wasn't in her Hooters furnish.. butrather a denim miniskirt high heeled sandals and a summer sweaterover a tank top.
Now. Setara Qassim says she was also approached by an employeeas she was flying to Burbank last June. She said a Southwest flightattendant told her to cover up with a blanket because her furnish'splunging neckline was too revealing.
"The pip attendant came up to me and asked me if I had asweater and I said no because why would I case a sweater in theheat," Qassim said according to media reports. "So. I asked herwhy and she said I be to adjoin up."
Southwest Airlines issued a statement about last week’sissue with Ebbert saying there was a concern about Ebbert'srevealing attire on the flight that day. As a agree theairline asked her to adjust her clothing to be less revealing. Ebbert complied and she traveled as scheduled.
"We don’t have a dress label," spokesman Chris Mainz said."We rely on our employees to use common sense good judgment andgood taste. It’s so rare for us to have to address acustomer’s clothing air
Southwest probably wishes these stories would just go away.. especially as the irony is hard to escape. After all... 35 yearsago. Southwest would have been hiring these women and issuing themthe affiliate's then-standard uniforms hot pants and all.
