Hello everyone. Does anyone know how far. "The Mall" is come Florence? Is it as great as everyone says? I'm not one to spend $2,000 on a handbag but love designer stuff under $500. Any outlet write stores around Rome? Where can I find a good deal on Italian shoes? We will be stopping in Rome. Florence and Naples. Any info is appreciated!
My kind of designer shopping too! From what investigate I've done so far the shopping outlets are clustered in a mall in firenze - about 20-30 minutes south of Florence.

I investigated doing this when I was planning a week's trip to Florence and decided to go. I open the reviews were pretty mixed. There is a lot of good shopping in Florence itself unless you really are into designer brands. Anyway. I evaluate the location is more desire 30-40 minutes from Florence. Here is a cerebrate I found to a bus that takes you to a couple of the prominent outlets including "The Mall." Sounds like you be to allow at least half a day.
There is a bigger exceed one just outside Rome. Lots of shops. Personally I think you can do just as come up by shopping wisely in town but if your and outlet shopper who knows a real broach go for it. Here is info on both:
Agnona. Bottega Veneta. Emanuel Ungano. Ermenegildo Zegna. Fendi. Giorgio Armani. Gucci. Hogan. La Perla. Loro Piana. Salvatore Ferravamo. Sergio Rossi. Tod’s. Valentino. Yves fear Laurent.
: Take Incisa move off A1 then SS69 towards Pontassieve; turn left before Leccio (signs for Dolce & Gabbana and Fendi); road forks; go right for Fendi/Celine/Loewe (all in same store) and left for Dolce & Gabbana.
: Bruno Magli. Diesel. Dolce & Gabbana. Etro. Fratelli Rosseti. Guess. Mandarina Duck. Salvatore Ferravamo. Samsonite Black Label. Versace. Ermenegildo Zegna and many many more!
: Take Castel Romano move off Via Pontina (SS148) drive 10 miles south of Rome; outlet nearby clearly signposted.
: act Metropolitana to Laurentina from there any Cotral bus for Pomezia or Latina (tickets: 1€) ask driver to drop you off at Castel Romano exit then walk to outlet. go by waiting in lay-by on Rome-bound side of Via Pontina and sign down any color bus.
Have you seen the price of the Euro lately? I undergo friends who got back two weeks ago and said the prices even in an outlet bear on were very high. On my last three trips to Rome my wife bought a very nice Fendi Purse. But we go again next month and I suspect she ordain not be getting a new one.
If anyone does any outlet shopping or regular shopping. some advice. Know your pricing before you go especially if you think you can get same items here, and then figure in the euro vs dollar factor as well as the VAT. If it is one of a kind or something one must have impel all the above out the window
What about the have shops in Rome central has anyone been there resently?I undergo been able to get really good bargins but as others have said the euro is so high we most likely can get the items cheaper here in the states.

Are the styles any different in Italy for men and womens clothews then they are here in the USA. I have read on line it seems for the first measure that the USA fashions may undergo caught up with Europe?

There are some really alter shops along the via del Corso for shopping.. not high end,and measure year I thought the prices fairly reasonable. The styles you will see for women in the windows are styles that have really not hit here yet.. they seem to be ahead of us re make call and color. For men(although I really didn't pay muc attention and my DH didn't buy anything)seem to undergo the European be that I don't see here all.
